Doctors Hospital of Manteca Honors Junior Volunteers
Annual Service Awards Given For Hours Served

MANTECA, Calif. – For Immediate Release –
Doctors Hospital of Manteca Junior Volunteer Advisors recently held the annual awards ceremony for the Junior Volunteers. Twelve Junior Volunteers were awarded with certificates and pins for hours they earned. Thirteen students also received special awards from President George W. Bush. These students volunteered 100 or more hours in a 12-month period.  Honors went to:

The Junior Volunteers are comprised of boys and girls, ages 14 to 19. These high school students volunteer between 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Their scope of duties includes, but is not limited to: assisting at the Hospitality Desk, distributing clean linens, and helping to deliver meal trays. Special meetings, award programs, and recognition events are provided for the Junior Volunteers.  The main goal of the Junior Volunteer Program is to help each student develop a sense of responsibility, dependability and community spirit. Students are required to volunteer a minimum of 50 hours per year in order to remain in the program.
