Mark Lisa Appointed CEO of Doctors Hospital of Manteca

    MANTECA, Calif. – Dec. 4, 2006 – Tenet California announced today that Mark Lisa has been named chief executive officer of Tenet’s Doctors Hospital of Manteca, a 73-bed acute care facility located in Manteca. Lisa, 46, most recently served as the chief operating officer of Doctors Hospital of Laredo in Texas.

    A veteran hospital leader with nearly 28 years of experience as a health care executive, Lisa will be responsible for all strategic, operational and clinical activities at DHM effective December 11, 2006.

    “Mark Lisa is a veteran health care executive who brings a proven track record of implementing quality patient service and progressive business strategy to Manteca,” said Stephen L. Newman, chief executive officer of Tenet California. “We welcome his broad expertise in health care leadership and in building quality care into everything he does.”

    Prior to his position in Texas, Lisa served as the chief executive officer of Thayer County Health Services, a not-for-profit health system in south central Nebraska, for two and a half years. He also spent 20 years in the United States Navy, where he held a series of progressively responsible positions in health services administration.

    Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems management from Saint Martin’s College in Lacey, Wash. and a master’s degree in health administration from Chapman University in Orange, Calif. He is board-certified by, and a fellow of, the American College of Healthcare Executives.
