When the unexpected occurs, this department is always ready to help.  Our physicians and nurses have special training required to handle medical emergencies.  The Emergency Department has a special entrance and separate registration area to help shorten patient waiting times.  There are 11 individual treatment rooms; 6 of the emergency rooms have bedside monitors for those requiring advanced EKG monitoring.  There are several specialists on-call and available at all times.  If there is a need for services not available at Doctors Hospital of Manteca (such as Cardiac Cath/Angiograms, Open Heart Surgery, Pediatric Critical Care, or Complicated Trauma), the Emergency Department is able to stabilize the patient prior to transport either by ground or air ambulance.
