Visiting in the OB Department
Labor and Delivery
- All visitors must remain in the patient’s room during the visit
- Only 2 people will be allowed in the patient’s room at a time, with a total of 2 visitors while the patient is in labor and delivery. There is NO CELL PHONE use in the hallways. Please respect this requirement.
- Siblings, of the new baby, are the only children, under 16 years of age that are allowed to be in labor and delivery - No exceptions. The siblings must be accompanied by one adult who is responsible for their care (other than the parent).
- The bathroom is for the patient’s use only. Visitor restrooms are available in the back corner of the cafeteria
- No photography or videotaping until after the delivery and OK’d by the patient’s nurse.
Post Partum
- No children under the age of 12 years, except for siblings of the new baby are allowed.
- Visiting hours are 12:00pm-8:00pm, except for the significant other (the person with the numbered ID band) and the siblings of the new baby.
- A limit of 3 persons may visit each patient at one time. All visitors must remain in the patient’s room. We ask that you please self-monitor your visitors.
- No visitors with any signs or symptoms of a cold, flu or infection.
- No visitors are allowed from 10:00pm-8:00am.
- The second bed in the room is for patient use only. Please keep your belongings on your side of the room, bathroom and closet.
- Overnight accommodations are available for the significant other on a space available basis.
