Veneeta’s cousin Ajay Chhabra, an artistic director at Nutkhut in the UK, recently had the opportunity to display his Bollywood flare in the Queen of England's Platinum Jubilee celebration. His team used recycled water bottles to create a sustainable Sari (a woman's garment consisting of cotton or silk elaborately draped around the body), depicting items related to the Queen and her 70-year reign.
While the main event featuring the sustainable Sari was "The Wedding Party" during the Queen's Jubilee Pageant, 10 of the Saris were sent to different places around the world to be worn and photographed with different iconic landmarks in the background. Veneeta was asked to participate. Her assignment was to capture a picture of herself in the Sari with the Golden Gate Bridge as the backdrop. Her mission was definitely accomplished! All for the sake of Her Majesty and promoting sustainable Saris around the world.
