Until we achieve significant rates of vaccination in our communities, the most effective safety measures we can take against COVID-19 continue to be wearing a mask, washing our hands and maintaining social distance. Let’s work together to help stop the spread.
When will the vaccines become available to the general public?
According to the CDC, initially there will not be enough doses of the vaccine available for all adults. Supplies will increase over time, and all adults should be able to get vaccinated later in 2021. The goal is for everyone to be able to easily get a COVID-19 vaccine as soon as large quantities are available.
Where will the general public be able to get vaccinated?
Currently, vaccines for the general public will be available with government contracted third party providers such as retail pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens.
